Volunteering - Leading Tours

Museum Tour Docents

Work with Education and Butterfly Rainforest staff to foster exploration throughout our Museum. Our school tours work primarily with Pre-K, Elementary, and Middle School students. Docents lead guided tours through each of our exhibit areas, including our newest exhibit halls, Hall of Florida Fossils and the Butterfly Rainforest. Shifts are available Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Outdoor Tour

Docent Naturalist

Work with Education staff to facilitate student exploration and discovery in the Natural Area Teaching Laboratory, located behind the Phillips Center of the Performing Arts. Docents lead guided tours for preschool and elementary students in a variety of outdoor activities. Topics include Sensing Nature, Eye on Insects, Green Machine, Stayin' Alive, and Ecosystem Expedition.
